Ramalina fastigiata forme ramicole.

Synonyms:

Family: RAMALINACEAE

Habitat: Aerohaline zone

Description

This form differs from the type by its less compact appearance and its often sterile more or less divided branches arranged without order, its rarer (but always terminal) apothecia. It comes on the small twigs of shrubs: Tamarix, Prunus... permanently subjected to winds and spray by the sea where several specimens form a set of intertwined twigs. Difficult to separate from certain forms of Ramalina fraxinea, but the latter species has lobes that are not hollow and often grooved. Single specimens are easier to identify, see: Ramalina fastigiata forme de la zone aérohaline

N.B. Taxon with crossed characters and therefore difficult to classify.
