Description
Here we present photographs of
Hydropunctaria maura ss. str
. relating to various samples sequenced by Tony ROBINET in the laboratory of the Concarneau Marine Station of the MHNP. These photographs will be completed by others, taken in different habitats, to show the different macroscopic variations of this species and possibly to describe certain forms. Simultaneously, the photobionts were sequenced in order to demonstrate their possible influence on the appearance of this species in different habitat conditions.

On a rock at the top of the foreshore of the Elorn estuary, with
Lecanora helicopis
,
Caloplaca marina
and
Caloplaca microthallina
(controlled sequence).
Mycobiont:
4 lineages at 0.34-0.69% of the
Hydropunctaria maura
NMW voucher: C.2010.001.214 (Orange 19416).
Photobionts:
1 lineage of
Pseudendoclonium commune
(strain ULVO-62).
6 lineages of
Pseudendoclonium submarinum
(strains ULVO-26 and SAG 2237) (
Ulvophyceae, Ulvales)
with 1% variation between them. N.B. with incidentally
Cladosporium sp
. (
Dothideomycete
) and
Caloplaca microthallina
which would be in favor of the parasitism of the latter species for
Hydropunctaria maura
