Amandinea punctata forme lignicole.

Synonyms:

Family: PHYSCIACEAE

Habitat: Ubiquitous

Description

This form differs from the type by its occurrence on dead wood or more often still on worked wood: posts, benches, palisades, wrecks of wooden boats, etc. Its remarkable resistance to pollution and toxics means that it can even be found on wood treated with antifungals or antifouling! In this case the thallus is particularly warty-granular and the apothecia can be abnormal and monstrous.
