Physcia adscendens H. Olivier forme maritime.
Almost always saxicolous on low acid rocks, coming to the level of Hydropunctaria maura and Xanthoria aureola sometimes but rarer on old paintings of wrecks of wooden or plastic boats in boat cemeteries. This form is stockier, darker and more greyish than Physcia adscendens forme corticole. N.B. Sometimes difficult to distinguish from Physcia tenella forme maritime form with which there are many intermediate forms.
