       This form differs from the type by its occurrence on limestone or alkaline rocks of the mesic zone, on the white zone above the orange zone. It appears in the form of very large thalli (20-30 cm) spread out on flat or slightly inclined surfaces, the coloring is pale ocher-pink, the apothecia are small and not very tight.
