Baeomyces rufus forme saxicole.

Description

     This form differs from the type in its occurrence on rocks and especially low granite stone walls bordering streams in sheltered, shady moist places. The thallus is usually less green than that of the classic soil-dwelling form.

N.B. In case of sterile thallus, watch out for Herteliana gagei which can accompany this form at the base of the rocks
