Description

    Thallus crustose, smooth to scurfy granular, without distinct areoles or granules, greyish, grey-greenish, grey-brownish. Apothecia to 0.2-0.4 mm when convex, 0.5-0.8 mm when globose or tuberculate, immarginate, brown-greyish, blackish. Ascospores ellipsoid to ovoid, simple, 6-9 x 2-4 µm. Photobiont: non-micareoid (exception within the genus). Chemical spot tests negative. On humid -but not runoffs- rocks, roots in ravines near streams and rivers.*
