    This ecoform preferentially grows on very nutrient-rich substrata in urban areas and differs from the Lecanora campestris subsp. campestris morpho atrata by its main habitat: horizontal surfaces remaining wet for a long time after rain, cement grounds, pavement areas, stairs, window sills, wall tops, etc. Thallus effuse, often covered with soil debris and dust, and above all with algae, brownish, greenish, ochraceous, etc. Apothecia are less numerous. Discs soon dark brown to brown-black, blackish.
