Caloplaca ceracea forme saxicole calcicole.
We present here, with usual restrictions, what may be a Caloplaca ceracea morph. All intermediate forms may be found. Thallus thick, celadon, almond green, green-yellow. Apothecia numerous, disc brown-orange, brown-olive, exciple more or less wavy, golden yellow. Ascii 8-spored, 70-80 x 20-30 µm. Ascospores polarilocular, (12) 13-16 (17) x 7-10 (11) µm according to our measures. This taxon (currently under investigantion) typically grows near the seashore on slightly alkaline or neutral humid rocks, or on limestones.
