Description

Parasite here Roccella phycopsis (which is also a ROCCELLACEAE), it mainly occurs on the northern walls of chapels by the sea frequented by its host but also on the rocks with its host. The parasitism of Roccella phycopsis results in the appearance at the beginning of large cotton-like clumps on the twigs of the host then at the end the host disappears in the thallus of its parasite which can then allow apothecia to appear.
