Lepraria crassissima (Hue) Lettau
Thallus leprose, fitting closely to the substratum, apparently foliose and lobate but margins without true lobes, thick, covered with granules, 0.1-0.3 mm diam., pale greyish, cream-greenish, grey-bluish, grey-greenish. Fruiting bodies unkonwn. Photobiont: green algae. Thallus: C+ red, K-, KC+ red, Pd-, UV+ white-bluish. Rare, on more or less acid sheltered rocks. See Lepraria incana which is C- and also Lepraria vouauxii that is C+ yellow K+ orange, Pd+ orange. This species was listed in Finistère by ancient authors, but has not been found in recent times.*
