Dibaeis baeomyces forme stérile

    This form is characterized by its thallus, crustose, surface uneven, slightly granulose to squamulose, dull whitish, pale greenish, covered with numerous white globose schizidia, 0.5-1 mm, larger than those of fertile form. This form is more frequent than the fertile form. Common on grounds, notably those of rocky pathes in Calluna heathlands. (In that case, the stones embedded in the ground are often colonized by Lecidea lithophila and Rhizocarpon reductum).
