Description

    Differs from the Evernia prunastri var. prunastri type by the rather limited number of branches, the branches aspect: larger (>5 mm) and longer (3 cm) and by the very numerous soredia on upper surface and to a less extend on lower surface. Rare, submontane, on bark of trees in humid woodlands subjected to frequent mist. Not to be confused with Ramalina; lower surface of branches white, upper surface greenish.
