Description

  Thallus thick up to 3 mm, grainy and warty surface, dirty greyish, pale gray, with a paler margin or hypothallus. Apothecia usually numerous, scattered or grouped, at first globose then open and sessile, 2-5 mm in diameter, disc flat, pruinose to finely granular, pale orange-brown a little pinkish, margin thick, sinuous, dirty whitish. Broadly elliptical ascospores, 40-70 x 20-40 µm. Apothecia discs: C + red, K-, KC + red, P-: thallus: C + red-orange, K + pale yellow, KC + red; medulla: P-. On the rocks.
