Description

       This form is characterized by its occurrence on the branches of shrubs, particularly in gardens, and its often bluish thallus. It is to be differentiated from Bacidia arceutina whose apothecia remain brown and rarely become blackish (and under the microscope the margin of these apothecia is brown and not purple in KOH).
