Lecanora alboflavida forme fertile.
This fertile form is characterized by the presence of apothecia 1-1.5 mm in diameter, buried in the thallus and not very protruding, slightly concave disc or plane, smooth and non-pruinose, orange-brown, brown, blackish-brown, thick margin, more or less convoluted and covered with soredia, concolorous to the thallus (appearance quite similar to the apothecia of Ochrolechia corticolous (minus the soredia!)). Utriform asci with (2) 4-6 (8) spores. Spores smooth, ovoid, colorless, 15-25 x 9-12 µm according to our measurements. This fertile form is very rare and is found only on the thalli of trunks or large branches very exposed to light.
