Cladonia squamosa var. subsquamosa Cf. forme corticole.
Thallus formed of squamules strongly divided at the top and of coralloid aspect, arranged in small cushions evoking a mass of coral, greenish gray a little silvery by the margin of the squamules which is whitish. Podetions rare, strongly scaly, erect and ending in a point without apothecia. Very rare pycnidia, brown. C-, K+ orange, KC-, P+ orange. At the base of Pinus trunks by the sea.
N.B. Taxon difficult to name because it exhibits characteristics crossed with other species.
