Diploschistes muscorum forme parasite de Cladonia pocillum

     Diploschistes muscorum is a frequent early parasite of Cladonia pocillum Parasitism begins with a brownish, reddish-brown coloration of the thallus of Cladonia pocillum which is radically and entirely invaded, then the thallus of Diploschistes muscorum eventually replaces it completely. During its parasitism Diploschistes muscorum can react in red to P by capturing lichenic chemical compounds from its host (see photograph).
