Cladonia ciliata forma flavicans forme des landes aérohalines.
This form comes in the very windy and very exposed heathlands near the sea, it presents yellowish tints and quickly takes on a gray-brown color in the sun. It comes most often mixed in the white colonies of Cladonia portentosa where it is easily distinguished by its gray-bronze to brownish colors, if it comes alone (but rarely) it then forms pads among the heather, but always in the vicinity of Cladonia portentosa which is the dominant species of Cladonia in this habitat.
