Physcia tribacia (Ach.) Nyl. forme corticole.

    This form occurs on the bark of the trunks of trees, generally isolated or in sparse groups. The thallus is generally well developed and relatively thick. Rarer in our maritime area than the saxicolous form which is also more maritime: Physcia tribacia forme saxicole.
