Cliostomum griffithii forme lignicole.

        This form differs from the type in that it occurs on the peeled wood of dead trees, especially conifers, but also on worked wood. This species, and in particular this form, is particularly resistant to drought and is often the only species to colonize wooden poles planted in the dunes.
