Ramalina fastigiata forme de la zone aérohaline.
This form (morph) is distinguished from the type by its highly branched appearance with very elongated hollow lobes, terminated by cupped apothecia. Crescent spores. C-, K-, KC-, P-. Fairly rare form occurring on the bark of trees or shrubs in the very windy aerohaline zone.
N.B. Very similar to the branching form, see: Ramalina fastigiata forme ramicole, but with fewer "appendages" on the branches except sometimes "hook" near the terminal apothecium, but there are all possible transitional forms. .
Cf. Certain forms of Ramalina fraxinea, but the latter species has lateral and terminal apothecia and its sometimes guttered branches are not hollow and broader.
N.B. This form, according to Sergio PEREZ ORTEGA (in litt.) seems to exist in the coastal zone of North-West Spain, it is not distinguished, after sequencing, from Ramalina fastigiata type.
