Description
This form differs from the type in that it occures at the base of the dead trunks of
Juniperus sp.
The thallus is very well developed, strongly grainy, green if wet, grey-green, greyish if dry.
Apothecia blood-red when young and when moist, red-brown when dry, blackish-red at the end.
Hyaline spores (5) 7-10 (12) septate 40-50 (60) x 2.5-3.5 µm according to our measurements.
C-, K+/- yellow, KC+/- yellow, P-.
Species from Corsica occuring at the base from dead trunks or wood debris more or less buried in the ground of
Juniperus
by the sea,
Cf. Some forms of
Trapeliopsis
or
Trapelia
which are C+ red.
