       This form is found on rocky shores at the level of the black zone of Verrucaria not, or little, exposed to the sun. The thallus is whitish to cream, grayish cream and not yellowish like that of thalli exposed to the sun, it is often very reduced which reveals the grey-blue, slightly greenish hypothallus. This morph is very similar to Myriolecis actophila and can only be distinguished by its chemical reactions (and also by its brown apothecia). Here on fossiliferous shales from the Devonian.
