Xanthoria parietina forme corticole.

    This form is very common and grows on bark of trees, notably ornmental trees aligned by the roadsides or street-sides including in urban areas. Specimen are green-yellow on the shaded side of the trunks and more yellow-orange on well-lit sides. When trees are exposed to strong marine winds typical grey colour of the Xanthoria parietina group may be observed.
