Evernia prunastri var. prunastri forme saxicole.

    This form grows on rocks (except calcareous)  near the ground with its base firmly attached,  to the contrary of Evernia prunastri var. arenaria that is loosely attached to the vegetation. Can sometimes make large clumps in favorable places (top of cliffs by the sea).
